Collage Mixed Media (Pri 1)

Si Ling Primary School

In this course, P1 pupils were exposed to work by Paul Klee on theme of Buildings. With understanding of Shapes, they formed landscape of buildings using Collage and Mixed Media.











Cultural Art (Pri 4/Pri 5)

Griffiths Primary School
Artist-in-school (AIS) Programme

Pupils from P4/P5 were introduced to Cultural Art as part of their AIS programme. P4 pupils worked on Paper Cut, adapted their designs from Chinese/Malay/Indian motifs. Whereas, P5 pupils designed their Perankan Houses using Mixed Media and Paper Sculpture techniques. Selected Peranakan Houses were then composed and formed into a mural installation.

Images of Food













This course taps on ‘Food’ as the main theme for Art-making. Work could be realised in 2D/3D with chosen media such as Acrylic paint, Collage, Mixed Media, etc. with certain Art style adopted.


Faces in Cubism











In this course, students will be introduced to Portraiture in Cubism. Finalwork will be assembled in Collage and/or Mixed Media with understanding of Shape, Texture and Pattern.


Cultural Masks













In this course, students will learn techniques of Mask-making based on theme of Culture & Ethnicity (national education/NE). Final masks will be realized using techniques of Paper Sculpture, Paper Mache and/or Mixed Media.


Figurines in Paper Mache









Students will learn techniques and skills of Paper Mache in forming 3D work. Final-work will be hand-painted using Acrylic/industrial paints. Possible themes to work on could be Animals, Imaginative Creatures, Human Forms and even Non-living Things.


Clay/Plasticine Relief Art










Students will learn to use clay or plasticine in creating reliefwork. They will be introduced to Principles of Design in creating interesting compositions for their work with possible themes such as Patterns, Nature, Animals, Sea World etc.


Paper Sculpture













This course will introduce students to context and techniques of Paper Sculpture. They will be taught various skills in folding, bending and manipulating paper to form 3D/semi-3D effects.

Mural Painting (Art Club)

Jun Yuan Primary School

This mural is deveoped from floral motifs of our ethnic artifacts such as those found on ceramics, carpets, costumes and furniture. The selected motifs were combined and recomposed as a semi-abstract mural.








Relief Clay Tiles (Pri. 6)

Coral Primary School

P6 pupils worked with self-drying clay to form relief tile-work as inspired from Peranakan tiles. Their work are based on subject of Nature where they developed motif designs from plants and flowers. Selected finalwork were framed and composed as a mural installation for the school's Peranakan corner.

Post-exam Progs (Sec. 3)

Chua Chu Kang Secondary School
(Clay Relief/Fashion Design)

Sec. 3 students were introduced to Clay Relief and Fashion Design for their post-exam programmes.
They worked on theme of Nature for clay-making and utilised Paper Sculpture techniques to create their Fashion plates.
