Part I: Pop Art - A Contemporary Creation (Upper Sec.)

Tanjong Katong Girls' School

Students are exposed to the contextual background, style and characteristics of Pop Art in this course. Both international and local contexts are covered with their hands-on divided into part I and part II. For part I series, they explored paper collage in Pop Art style using print-based materials such as newspapers and magazines together with scrap coloured-paper. Their referencing artists include Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselman, Richard Hamilton and Peter Clark.

Mixed Media with Recycled Materials (P4)

Rosyth School

Pupils learnt techniques of Mixed Media using recycled materials to compose Artwork on Nature. They have applied compositional techniques such as ‘Overlapping’, ‘Repetition’ and ‘Rhythm’ in portraying visuals of Nature. Subjects of flora and greenery were formed with scrap-materials and found objects such as strings, textile/paper remnants, packaging materials etc.
